Hi Kathleen

A good decision, in my opinion!! Health always has to come first and the stress you were under wasn't helping things. You can now give a sigh of relief and take life easier for a little while at least.

A hard decision but you did it ... well done! Let us know about your scan results, fingers crossed,

Glad you made your decision to give up work. It obviously upsetting you and they
certainly appeared not to be too co-operative. Lets hope scan will be ok.

Another up date, seen GP about my scan. She says it's looking very much like i'll need a hip replacement but i've to see rheumy doc for the full results.
My left foot is very swollen, both were but right one settled down. Hip still causeing me terrible pain.GP rang the clinic to speak to rheumy doc, he's going to have a good look at all my notes to decide what to do next. If i don't hear anything on monday i'll ring muself, and if no joy going to casualty, just can't go on anymore like this.
I'm on Mtx 25mg injection weekly, folic, tramadol, hydrox, sulfas, and omepraz. Rattling well!!
Can't have some of the new drugs cause of a breast cancer history, has anyone else been in this situation with cancer history and where did things go from there.
RA Diagnosed four years ago and had no relief at all. Getting really fedup with it now. Sorry to go on a bit, but i'm sure you understand. Kathleen xx

Sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time with it all. The continual pain, fatigue and general weariness of it all does get you down doesn't it? I completely understand where you are coming from.

I haven't had cancer problems so can't offer any suggestions myself but perhaps a call to NRAS may help. They might be able to put you in touch with someone who has shared similar experiences. Please give them a call on Monday, they will understand your anxieties.

In the meantime do take care and treat yourself gently. Let us know how you go on. Thinking of you,

Hi me again, thanks Lyn and Doreen I rang NRAS helpline had a long chat, and got some answers and questions to ask for my next rheumy appt.
Also some good news too! Rheumy doc rang my GP and has said I need a hip replacement urgently so he's refering me to save time.
Won't be able to start any new drugs untill after the opp but I feel much happier knowing things are going forward .........am I glad I'm an NRAS member and have met so many wonderful friends. Not only are you all suffering but you think of others. Thankyou gentle hugs, Kathleen xx
